In the third and final part to our church pew DIY makeover, we tackle my favorite part…painting!!!
Make sure you check out Part 1 and Part 2 of our church pew makeover to see how it looked before we completely restored it.
Renovating this Church pew has been one of our biggest and best makeovers so far.
Because we have another grandchild, we needed some extra seating for our home for our always growing family! I know our grandson loves to have a place to sit and play with his cars and it is fun to walk from one side of the church pew to the other. 😊
I am so happy that we had this church pew to remodel and use for that space.
We have been remodeling our farmhouse living room for a little over a year now.
The makeover had never really felt complete so we looked in flea markets and thrift shops for inspiration.
Finally, we found this broken, old church pew online that was missing a leg and I knew that’s what we needed for our farmhouse makeover.
In part 3 of our makeover, I am taking you through 5 different painting techniques that we used on this church pew.
1) Using a paint spray gun
2) Applying crackle glaze
3) Using a paint roller
4) Painting a Stencil
5) Using Wax
We will eventually make a bench cushion for this bench. I will definitely record that when I attempt it. It will be my first time sewing a church cushion so you will want to stay tuned for that!
